Speedway GP star Leon Madsen won his first Danish Championship in Esbjerg on Wednesday night.

Madsen secured his spot in the final on 12 points – tying with 2025 champion Michael Jepsen Jensen after five rides. Frederik Jakobsen and Anders Thomsen made it through on 11 apiece.

With points from the heats carrying over to the final, the national crown was very much up for grabs, and Madsen claimed it with victory ahead of Jakobsen in second, Thomsen in third and MJJ in fourth.

This meant that Madsen took top spot on 15 points, with Jakobsen second on 13, Jepsen Jensen third on 12 and Thomsen ranked fourth on 11.

Triple European champion Mikkel Michelsen took fifth place on 10 points – tying with Nicolai Klindt and Jonas Seifert-Salk.

Former SGP2 star Nicolai Heiselberg finished on nine, with Bastian Pedersen scoring six. Matias Nielsen, Jacob Jensen, Andreas Lyager, Benjamin Basso and Jonas Knudsen all scored five.
