The calendar for the four-round 2026 Speedway European Championship series has been revealed.
Polish club Zielona Gora stages the opening round on July 18, with German venue Gustrow hosting round two on September 5. The action moves to Polish track Rzeszow on September 19, before Czech club Pardubice stages the title decider on Friday, October 2 – the opening night of the city’s famous Golden Helmet weekend.
The winner of the SEC series earns automatic qualification for the 2027 Speedway GP World Championship series.
Poland’s Patryk Dudek powered back into Speedway GP with victory in the 2025 series. He is set to defend his SEC crown, joining fellow SGP stars Andzejs Lebedevs, Leon Madsen, Kacper Woryna and Michael Jepsen Jensen in the field, as well as SGP2 champion Nazar Parnitskyi, after they all finished in this season’s top six to secure automatic qualification.
They will compete against the top five riders from the SEC Challenge – the final qualification round, which takes place at Italian track Lonigo on June 13.
The qualifiers to reach the SEC Challenge will be raced at Austrian venue Mureck and German club Stralsund on April 25, with French venue Lamothe-Landerron hosting the third qualifier on May 16.
The SEC series line-up will be completed by four permanent wild cards selected by FIM Europe and promoter One Sport.
